Kids in for a Dirt Biking treat in WA!

The kids in Western Australia are in for some fun and games in upcoming weeks as the Honda 'Motokids' makes their debut at the Byford Motocross track on Sunday 11th July 2010.

This is the first time that the Honda Motokids has traveled to the far west in the land of the sand-gropers in what will be the sixth stop on the Honda Motokids Calendar since it's launch in January 2010.

The Byford Motocross complex is a fun, hard-packed track which is a rarity in Western Australia and makes it ideal for what the Honda Motokids has to offer. The track will cater for all levels of riders while providing the perfect backdrop for some first-timers.

The Honda Motokids initiative is all about having fun and learning a few skills along the way. The whole day involves a balance of fun-riding, games and skills work that not only has the kids satisfied at the end of the day but allows them to improve their level of riding and confidence.

"I'm very excited to run the first Honda Motokids in WA," said Lee Hogan.

"Western Australia is where I grew up and started racing so each year when I run my BCP schools the interest that I get from the WA community is unbelievable. I can't wait to see what the WA kids have got to offer."

Junior riders up to the age of 16 are eligible to enter and bring along their own fun bikes (no motocross bikes allowed other than automatic 50cc bikes).

The friendly staff at South City Honda will be there on the day also with Honda's cool range of mini fun bikes available to 'come and try.'

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Parents can shop while the kids play games at the Kids Xtravaganza in the Regency Room at the Amarillo Civic Center.

Several vendors will be on hand to offer information like medical and dental services for kids plus one-stop shopping for items like kid's bedding and clothing.

The fundraiser is to raise awareness of the benefits of adoption in our area. Executive Director Cindy Gilliland provides some words of advice for those interested in adopting.

"Just have a lot of faith that if that's where you're going that God is going to provide for them and that it is, it is not always the easiest road but, it is so rewarding in the end."

The Xtravaganza continues Saturday from 10:00-6:00 at the Amarillo Civic Center. Admission is $2 for adults, kids 12 and under are free.
